The Don England award is bestowed upon the Scouter who has internalized the Scout Oath and exemplifies the Servant Leader philosophy of one of our district's great pillars, the late Don England. This Scouter is one who works, oftentimes tirelessly, behind the scenes to elevate others and enables them to learn to have confidence in themselves. This is a Scouter who volunteers not for the recognition for but the good of Scouting.
It is awarded for the unit level volunteer who goes above and beyond for their unit and the youth.
The nominee should be unaware of their nomination for the award.
The Trailblazer Award is presented to a Scouter (adult) who has shown outstanding service above the unit level and directly benefiting Chisholm Trail District. The nominee should be unaware of their nomination for the award.
The District Award of Merit is the highest honor a local district can give to a volunteer in the Scouting America program. It is presented to Scouters who have provided outstanding service at the district level. This award is presented in the same way that the national Silver Beaver award is given by councils.
